Designed to achieve Passive House, the $23.9 million Moran Square redevelopment successfully knits together the historic Harper Furniture Building and the Summer Street Fire Station with a 5-story in-fill residential building through preservation, rehabilitation, and new construction.

The Apartments at Moran Square offer 44 mixed-income units and 8,400 square feet of commercial space intended to revitalize the Moran Square Historic District and create much-needed affordable housing. Twenty units will be affordable to households earning less than 60% of the area medium income (AMI), with five units further restricted for extremely low-income households earning less than 30% of AMI.

The transit-oriented development enjoys a walking score of 81, is a 3-minute drive to Fitchburg State University, and is located one block from the Fitchburg Intermodal Transportation Center, which includes an MBTA Commuter Rail Station and a central bus terminal for the Montachusett Regional Transit Authority.
