Where do you see the biggest opportunities for innovation in CRE or your area of expertise?
There’s an urgent need for all forms of housing, but we are especially seeing demand and opportunity for new models of senior and assisted living that prioritize affordability through the use of LIHTC incentives, Medicaid subsidies, and other tools. Few seniors can really afford long-term care in the current system; our industry must find ways to bridge these income gaps and create new offerings, like mixed-use developments that feature a combination of private and public pay sources. We’ve found success with these models in other states and see great opportunity in New England.
